MEET MELANIE
I grew up in an Italian family where gathering around the table was simply part of life. Some of my earliest lessons in hospitality came from my Nonnie’s restaurant, where I learned that taking care of people isn’t just about what’s being served—it’s about how you make them feel.
With more than 15 years of hospitality experience, I’ve carried those early lessons into my professional life, helping bring weddings, corporate events, conferences, celebrations, and large-scale outdoor events from idea to execution. As General Manager of a conference and event center, I led a team coordinating events for as many as 350 guests, working closely with clients and vendors and managing everything from the big-picture plan to the smallest details.
Five years ago, I made Wilmington home and quickly fell in love with coastal life. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside with my dogs, somewhere near the water, or chasing a Carolina sunset.
I believe life is made up of key moments—the people gathered around the table, the celebrations we remember, the conversations that linger long after everyone goes home. I created Key Moments Home & Hosting because I want to help you be present for those moments, not busy managing everything happening around them.
